Pricing & Billing FAQs
Can teachers use Teachmate for free?
Yes. The basic option is completely free and does not require a payment card. Paid Pro plans unlock the paid tools and features shown in the current plan comparison. See current pricing.
Does Teachmate Pro have monthly and annual options?
Yes. Individual Pro subscriptions are available monthly or annually and renew automatically until cancelled. Current prices and the plan comparison are maintained on the pricing page rather than duplicated here. See current pricing.
How is whole-school pricing presented?
Whole-school pricing depends on the number of staff licences required and is presented as an annual total for the school. Schools and MSOs can use our pricing page or contact us for the appropriate package.
Can a school pay by invoice?
Yes. If your school needs an invoice, or you are purchasing for multiple schools, contact our team and we will arrange the order. Contact us.
Does Teachmate store payment card details?
No. Stripe handles card payments and card details. We do not store your card details.
How does an individual cancel a subscription?
Cancellation is available through My Account. Paid access continues until the end of the current paid billing period, after which the subscription does not renew.
To protect your account and personal data, the fastest and most secure way to cancel is through your account dashboard. This ensures only you, the verified account holder, can make changes to your subscription.
To cancel:
1. Log in to your Teachmate account
2. Click your profile menu (top right) → My Account
3. Go to Subscription and click Cancel Subscription
Can Teachmate still be used after cancellation?
Yes. Cancelling stops the next renewal. The account keeps its paid access until the end of the billing period that has already been paid for.
When is a new subscription eligible for a refund?
We provide a 14-day money-back period if you haven't accessed any Pro tools. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Later recurring payments are generally non-refundable. Please see our terms and conditions for full details.
How can a user update their payment card?
In My Account, choose subscription and then cancellation, update card to open the Stripe customer portal. Stripe manages your card details; we do not store them.
