How do I create an account?
Go to teachmate.com, click Sign up, enter your email, set a password and confirm. Your account is live in under sixty seconds. No credit card is required for the free plan and there is no time limit on it.
Can I use Teachmate on my phone?
Yes. Teachmate runs in any modern mobile browser including Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. The interface adapts to small screens. Most teachers do longer planning on a laptop and use mobile for quick tweaks or reviewing.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Teachmate is fully web-based. There is nothing to install, no browser extension required and no admin permissions needed on a school device. If you can access the internet, you can run Teachmate.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Open account settings, go to Billing, click Cancel subscription and confirm. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you keep access until then. There are no cancellation fees and your content is preserved if you ever want to come back. Full pricing on the pricing page.
How do I invite my colleagues?
On a school or trust plan, the school admin invites teachers from the admin console by email or by uploading a CSV. See the schools page for plans.
What is included on the Free plan?
The free plan gives access to 14 of our free tools including our Medium Term Topic Planner. There is no time limit and no credit card requirement. It is enough to plan, generate and try Teachmate end to end before deciding whether to upgrade.
How do I export my work?
Every output has an Export button offering Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel formats, Google Docs, Slides and Sheets, plain PDF and copy-to-clipboard. From there you can share into Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams or your school MIS using the standard share controls.
How do I set up SSO for my school?
SSO via Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, generic SAML 2.0 and OIDC is included on every paid school plan. The IT admin downloads the metadata file from the Teachmate admin console, uploads it to your identity provider and switches the toggle on. Most schools complete the round trip in under thirty minutes; help centre walkthroughs cover both Microsoft and Google in step-by-step screenshots. See trusts for SCIM and IP allowlisting.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within fourteen days of a Pro purchase, if unused, email team@teachmate.com and we refund the full amount. Pro, School and Trust plans follow the terms in the terms and conditions section.
Where do I report a bug?
Use the Report a problem link in the in-tools help menu or email team@teachmate.com. Include a screenshot, the URL and what you were doing. Our engineering team triages bug reports daily and the customer who reported the bug always gets an email when the fix ships.
How do I request a new tool?
Use the Suggest a tool form inside the log in or email team@teachmate.com. Suggestions are reviewed weekly by the product team. Roughly one in three of the tools currently shipping started life as a teacher request.
Is there an API?
