Teachmate partners with Teach First to support trainee teachers with AI

More than 260 Teach First trainees are already using Teachmate, as our new partnership helps trainee teachers build confidence using AI safely and effectively from the start of their careers.

Starting teacher training comes with a huge amount to learn, from planning every lesson and creating resources, to adapting materials for different students and developing confidence in the classroom.

That's why Teachmate has partnered with Teach First to give its trainees free access to safe, curriculum-aligned AI tools throughout their training.

Supporting trainees from the start

More than 260 Teach First trainees have already joined Teachmate, gaining access to 160 AI tools designed specifically for education.

And they’re already getting stuck in, with almost half having used our brand new Slideshow Generator and Lesson Planner to support their lesson planning and preparation.

However, this partnership is about more than just saving time. As AI becomes an increasingly important part of education, we want new teachers to develop the confidence to use it safely, responsibly and effectively, all while keeping their own professional expertise and knowledge of their students at the centre.

Shaping what comes next

Throughout the year, Teach First trainees will also have opportunities to share feedback, help shape future Teachmate tools and become Teachmate Ambassadors within the Teach First community.

With more than 260 trainees already signed up, we're looking forward to working closely with the Teach First community and learning from their experiences as they begin their careers in teaching.
