"We started our AI journey in the trust in 2024. We were looking for solutions to support teachers to try and see how we can help them to do the best job they could whilst maintaining their work life balance.
We looked around at a number of companies at the time trying to see:
- What would work best in terms of the actual products
- What was most supportive of of us keeping the children and staff safe, keeping our data safe
- Cost effectiveness
We started our Teachmate journey two years ago, using them as our AI platform across the trust. We bought licences for all of our schools and one of the nicest things about that is how easy it was to set up, how friendly and professional the team were in doing that. but also how manageable the system is using the software that's available.
With Teachmate, we've worked to make sure that our schools and our staff know how to use it really effectively. We've had CPD sessions both led within schools by head teachers and champions for AI within schools, but also led by Teachmate themselves who have helped us to really develop our use to a to a good standard."

"At first, I was really skeptical about AI in education. We're a values driven school and my first priorities are safeguarding, relationships, and well-being. I was really cautious of something that might add to workload and take time away from the children.
Teachmate is what changed my mind on that. It is curriculum aligned so reduces the workload around planning, reducing pressure for staff and giving them time to concentrate on what matters the most: high quality teaching and learning, and the children that are in their care."

"I've been using Teachmate for two years now and that has allowed me to be more creative, personalise student learning, and work within my contracted hours.
It's really clear that Teachmate prioritises SEND needs as they offer over 20 different tools to support SEND learners in classrooms.
One of my favourite features in Teachmate is the refinement bar that is built into every tool. The reason being is this caters for different learners, so that I'm able to make work more challenging or more simplified to meet the needs of all the children within my classroom.
I'm really happy that my school has embraced AI because it shows that they really care about staff wellbeing."
